Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education Appearance Academy Students Shine at the New York Hair and Beauty Association’s Evening Glamour Comb-Out Competition

On June 10th, five students from the Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education Center’s Appearance Academy competed in the New York Hair and Beauty Association’s Evening Glamour Comb-Out Competition, held in White Plains, NY.  Each competitor created dress hair styles on a peer model.  The following students were honored by the judges for their creativity and hard work:

• Courtney Ludlow from Valley Central placed first with model Samantha Rubinstein from Valley Central.

• Amanda Reda from Washingtonville placed second with model Jamie Doyle from Washingtonville.

• Francine Jenkins from Valley Central placed third with model Nadria Shaw from Valley Central

Other competitors from the CTEC Appearance Academy were:

• Kasima Maxwell from Monroe-Woodbury with model Meghan Furman
• Tiffany  Mullings from Chester and model Lauren Dechoudens

 

All students are currently completing the Cosmetology Program at Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education Center.
